5/6 - Fencing for Gardeners
Tired of sharing the fruits & vegetables of your labor with the critters? This hands-on workshop will give you basic fencing skills which can be applied to your own garden. Materials, heights, depths and installation tools will be covered, all while building an actual garden fence, paying particular attention to building strong corners and gates.
Workshop Leader Al Johnson has been farming and gardening for decades and has installed fencing for a variety of gardens, yards and farm crop and livestock fields. Host Sonya Harris is the Founder and Director of The Bullock Garden Project, Inc., which serves to create, inspire, assist, and support schools to implement gardening programs. MORE INFO
NJ Organic Farming Board - Interested in Serving?
Advocacy within NJ Legislation has created an Organic Farming Board to develop, administer, and oversee programs, in consultation with the NJ Department of Agriculture, on topics related to organic and regenerative farming. North Jersey RC&D AgAssist Cost-Share Funding
Through grant funding, North Jersey RC&D has funding for projects and practices that support clean water and healthy soils. The AgAssist Cost-Share Program offers 75-95% reimbursement (up to $15,000) for supplies and expenses required to implement a variety of best management practices.
